coral reef/ snorkeling

Snorkeling is generally best during the morning hours, when light streams in to illuminate the reef, but it is fun to get in the water at any time of day. Every day is a little different. We might swim with sea turtles, hear whales sing underwater, or perhaps even see a manta ray as we explore the Big Island's underwater world. If you would like to learn more about coral reefs, let us know. We can accompany you in the water, and look at material on board.

Snorkeling gear is provided, although you are always welcome to bring your own if you have it. A 3 1/2 hour trip allows enough time to sail to one snorkeling destination, and to have lunch on deck as we return. A 5 hour trip allows time to travel a little further and/or stop to snorkel in a couple of places.
